The Word of the Month Archive – Kostis Spantidakis
ARTEX Centre, as part of its broader mission to engage the public with the history and archaeology of textiles, presents The Word of the Month Archive – Kostis Spantidakis.
This section comprises a collection of monthly articles published on the ARTEX website between 2018 and 2019 that examine the etymology and linguistic development of terms associated with weaving and the wider field of textile studies.
Each contribution focuses on a single term, analysing its language, historical usage and semantic range, and situating it within the broader relationship between textile practices, discourse and meaning.
